MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF THE CO2 LASER CUTTING PROCESS USING GENETIC PROGRAMMING

The development of mathematical models by using experimental data is great importance for modelling and optimization the laser cutting process. Motivated lack research regarding use genetic programming (GP) deriving empirical that describe process, present study discusses application GP to a kerf taper angle model. aim was quantify relationship between three selected input parameters (cutting speed, power assist gas pressure) in CO2 aluminium alloy AlMg3. To obtain database model evolution experiment planned as per standard full factorial design where all were varied at levels. fit prediction values found be appropriate. Finally, derived model, analysis effects on change performed generating 3D surface plots.
